Because his wife died and his son Richard too. Now he live with his son Huw and his other son Gareth. Huw and Gareth works at the mine because his father can’t work. He’s a drinker and people don’t contract a person with forty years old and drinker.

They decide to have their relationship in secret. They take this decision because if Megan’s father know their relationship, will be forbid to Megan see Huw.

Because it was the first night that they will be together and anybody can’t see them. And it was the first time that Huw gives a present to Megan.

-After the first four chapters, how would you define the relationship between Huw and his brother?
Always they have a very good relationship, they were very joined.
7. Chapter 6: A surprise find
-Megan finds the letters Huw had sent her 50 years before, in 1946 and 1947. Imagine Meg's father was still alive and that you are Meg. What would you tell him?
I were very angry with her, and probably we have a very big discussion.
In the first letter Meg asks Huw: "Do you think he wanted me to find them when it was to late?". What do you think?
I think that the Megan’s father will that Megan found the letters when she was in love about another man, because he thinked that Huw wasn’t the best husband from Megan.
8. Chapter 7: Time to decide
-Before leaving Tredonald, Huw told Megan: "in a year ...I'll come back here and we'll get married..." (pag.23); but things turned out to be completely different. Why?
Because Huw write a lot of letters to Megan and she never send to Huw a letter. Huw think that Megan was forgotten he and he decide to don’t go back to Tredonald.

-What's Meg's present job?
Go with tourists at the mine, and tell them some histories which happened in the mine.

Yes. I believe in love, and I think that love can be for always.

-Imagine the conversation between Paul and Megan the moment she tells him that she is still in love with Huw. Write it down.
- Paul, I have a thing to say to you.
- Megan, it wasn’t sounds right.
- Paul, I’m sorry. But I don’t love you so much. I love Huw. And I’m going to married with he.
- Oh, Megan. But I love you!
- I know. I’m sorry, Paul.

Yes I like very much. Because I like books which tells real stories or stories which can be real, this is one. I think I learned very much, at the beginning was difficult for me to read in English, but when I’m in a chapter two or three I read more good.
